About This Event
Motor City Hockey’s Future Stars is a 6U and 8U house hockey development program at Detroit Skating Club. It is not a travel hockey program and focuses on building hockey fundamentals through station-based practices and half-ice 4-on-4 games. For the 2026–27 season, the program includes two 6U teams practicing two or three times per week and one 8U team practicing three times per week. Practices are approximately 50–55 minutes, with Sunday morning games beginning in October. Lead coaches rotate between Coach Nick and Coach Rich. Teams are limited to a maximum of 24 players.
